M S Dhoni
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, popularly known as MS Dhoni, is an Indian cricketer and one of the most successful and iconic captains in the history of Indian cricket. Born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), Dhoni made his debut for the Indian national team in 2004 in an ODI against Bangladesh. He quickly rose to prominence with his aggressive batting style and calm, composed leadership skills. Dhoni became the captain of the Indian team in 2007, and under his leadership, India achieved numerous milestones, including winning the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. His ability to finish matches under pressure, especially with his trademark helicopter shot, made him one of the best finishers in limited-overs cricket. Dhoni is also known for his sharp tactical acumen, particularly in the field and while making bowling changes, earning him the reputation of a thinking captain.
